The Casa Enzo Ferrari Museum, inaugurated on March 2012 in Modena, is a museum complex dedicated to Enzo Ferrari and sporting motor racing. The Museum is structured in two different buildings: Enzo Ferrari’s Birthplace and a futuristic automotive design gallery. Enzo Ferrari’s Birthplace was restored in order to show the original appearance and it preserves the habitation as well as the laboratory-garage. The interior is characterized by a multimedia display of pictures, unpublished films and precious mementoes of Enzo Ferrari’s life as a man, pilot and car-maker throughout the 20th century. The new Exhibition Gallery houses a flexible mounting representing history, figures, places and competitions of the Modenese sporting motor racing. Cars are protagonists, exhibited like works of art on design platforms, and periodically changed according to the temporary exhibitions organized, with an always renewable expositive method. Moreover, cars are framed to design stands displaying documentation, objects and audio-video materials. This structure houses also a Documentation Centre, with an archive, computer platforms, and a room dedicated to didactic and seminar activities. The Casa Enzo Ferrari Museum includes a bookshop, a store with official merchandising as well as a freely accessible cafeteria, representing an open and multifunctional meeting place that can be lived full-time. The Casa Enzo Ferrari Museum represents an elegant place to show beautiful cars, but also a perfect space to organize conferences, launches and cultural events.
