The museum offers multimedia instruments that make easier to have detailed information about the Tricolour Flag proclaimed in Reggio Emilia January 7, 1797.

The museum is divided into two different sections: one concerning the history of the national flag and its origin until the end of the Napoleonic period, the other one concerning the history of the political events in our town, in the period between the proclamation of the Reggio Emilia Republic and the Restoration.
It is also possible to visit a section with documents and relics dating back to the period 1796-1814 and another section with documents and relics dating back to the Risorgimento period.
