Originally called the New Ducal Theatre it was built at the behest of the Duchess Maria Luigia. Nowadays the Teatro Regio and the city of Parma celebrate their history by commemorating a great character that, with his genius, has contributed to the glory of the regional music culture through out the world, we are talking about the maestro Giuseppe Verdi.
